Aufguss is a guided sauna ritual rooted in German sauna culture, designed to create a powerful yet deeply restorative experience. During an Aufguss, water and ice infused with essential oils are poured over the hot stones. The rising steam is carefully guided around the space, filling the sauna with deep, even heat, aroma and movement.
Across several rounds, we move between intensity and release – heat followed by cooling, gentle pauses and a carefully curated soundtrack. Led by Doro, a certified Sauna Master born and trained in Germany, this is an authentic German Aufguss experience brought to Scotland.
A fully immersive, multi-sensory ritual – leaving you grounded, relaxed and quietly energised.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the event to get situated on site and to change.
We share the changing facilities (changing rooms, toilets, hot showers and lockers) with Lost Shore which is the building closest to the sauna and less than a minute away. Some prefer to arrive with their swimwear underneath their clothes, which allows for a quick change at the sauna. We have hooks and covered space to store your gear.
A dry robe/robe is ideal to walk from/to the changing rooms.
Wear shoes or flip flops for the journey from/to the changing rooms as the path is cold and can be stoney.
Please bring 2 towels - a small one to sit on in the sauna and one to dry off afterwards.
Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
If the session has fewer than 10 bookings, the event won’t go ahead, and you’ll be notified and refunded.
